Jiří Valoch, another possibility, typewriter and pencil on paper, 29,7 x 21 cm
EXILE Berlin is pleased to announce an exhibition of four wall-based works by Czech artist Jiří Valoch.
By the late 1970s, Valoch was barred from publicly exhibiting his work in Czechoslovakia but continued to create concepts for wall-based works in private, using typewriter and pencil on standard A4 sized paper. Together with the artist, four of these concepts were selected and will be shown for the first time as wall-based work and as originally intended by Valoch.
The exhibition follows up on last year’s exhibition of Valoch at EXILE Erfurt and is again organised in collaboration with Jana Písaříková and Ondřej Chrobák, Moravian Gallery, Brno and Anna Ebner-Quadri, and the editions, Vienna.
